Decision Making Process
I will work hard to understand each of the complex issues that come before us on the Village Board. Through thoughtful research, discussion with village staff and residents, and personal reflection, I strive to make decisions that are impactful and pragmatic for the Village and its residents.

Families & Community
Goals:
Supporting childcare centers and the educators who do such important work
Encouraging housing availability as well as workforce housing options
Focus on walking and biking paths
Maintaining a strong park system within the Village
Senior Center, Public Library, Community Programs, Recreation Programs/Clubs
Maintaining a vibrant downtown with gathering spaces
Accomplishments:
Hosted the first Village of Oregon Childcare Summit- August 2024
Voted in favor of the Downtown Master Plan - completed in late 2024
Worked to secure a UW-Madison Graduate School student to develop a plan for West Side Park, Keller Alpine Meadows Park, Lerner Conservation Park, DiMaggio Park, Dega Park, and Florida Avenue Park- creating a cohesive Conservation Park area- this project was no cost to the Village
Environmental Sustainability
Goals:
Focusing on sustainable building practices in future development
Exploring alternative energy sources for Village buildings
Encouraging sustainable practices during Village events
Working to apply recommendations from the Village of Oregon Sustainability Plan
Accomplishments:
Secured a discount for Oregon residents to use Green Box composting as a food composting vendor
Planted trees in Jaycee Community Park- trees were purchased with a grant that we were awarded
Established a plan to implement solar panels on Village Hall building within the next 3 years
Expand Commercial Presence
Goals:
Supporting existing businesses
Encouraging more business growth
Exploring partnerships with businesses and Village
Accomplishments:
Voted in favor of the Downtown Master Plan which give the community some ideas for commercial development in the downtown area
Public Safety
Goals:
Supporting Police Department and Fire District
Working to increase health services
Addressing mental health needs
Accomplishments:
Voted in favor of establishing a second Lieutenant position to help lead the police department
Supported specific capital purchases to enhance the safety and efficiency of the department (Ex. UTV, new radio system, updated equipment)
Held a safety series for community members and business owners to engage with the police department on questions or concerns - March 2025
